Our in-class Eco-Safe Driving course examines safer driving techniques and the benefits these can deliver both to the business and the employee in terms of fuel efficiency, and reduced wear and tear on the vehicle.
If your employees have passed their Practical Driving Test since September 2008, Eco-Safe driving will have formed part of their test in relation to their “control of the car” and “planning and anticipation”. However, it is more than likely that the majority of your employees have had no formal training or assessment on their eco-safe driving ability.
By investing in Eco-Safe Driver training for your employees you will reduce the level of carbon dioxide, helping to reduce your organisation’s carbon footprint, alongside reducing your fuel and motoring costs.
On a TTC Eco-Safe Driving Course delegates will:
- Develop an enhanced appreciation of effective speed management skills;
- Hone awareness and anticipation skills so as to be proactive rather than reactive (sometimes referred to as Defensive Driving techniques);
- Employ modern driving techniques with specific reference to effective use of gears, brakes and acceleration all of which have a direct impact on fuel economy and Co2 emissions;
- Develop a planned approach to driving, identifying and minimising risks.
The workshop is facilitated by a professional driver trainer who will engage participants to maximize the learning experience.
This course is suitable for all employees who drive cars, vans, LCV’s (light commercial vehicles) LGV’s (large goods vehicles) or PCV’s (passenger carrying vehicles).
To complete an Eco-Safe Driving Course in-class takes 3 hours, and is suitable for up to 20 delegates. However, all of the courses TTC offer can be tailored to your requirements with elements of eco-safe driving incorporated alongside, for example, improving speed awareness and driving whilst using a mobile phone, satnav etc.
