Effective Speed Management
It is important for businesses and organisations to be mindful that speed or inappropriate speed contributes to a significant percentage of all crashes, and therefore the inappropriate use of speed by your employees on work-related journeys is a real risk.
Organisations typically commission in-class Effective Speed Management courses after a noticeable increase in employees receiving penalty points or the number of incidents where excessive speed played a factor. However, a proactive approach to speed management is recommended not only for the safety benefits but also when considering fuel efficiency, as the financial benefits can be significant.
The overall aim of our Effective Speed Management course is to explore and challenge the reasons why people speed and to help drivers develop a personal speed awareness strategy to prevent lapses leading to the misuse of speed.
The Effective Speed Management course does this through an enjoyable interactive session which utilises up-to-date road safety video clips, group activities and an update on the Highway Code.
An in-class Effective Speed Management course delivered by TTC is designed and delivered to engage participants and provide drivers with an enhanced appreciation of the need to manage speed; recognise speed limits and select a speed appropriate to the prevailing conditions.
The workshop is facilitated by a professional driver trainer who will engage participants to maximize the learning experience.
