General Driver Safety Awareness
This in-class driver safety awareness workshop is part of TTC’s DriverProtect® programme and aims to engage participants and provide drivers with an enhanced appreciation of the need to drive defensively, instead of reactively.
Defensive driving, often referred to as ‘eco-safe driving’, has the potential to lower a driver’s risk of a collision, lower carbon emissions and increase fuel economy.
This driver safety awareness workshop is designed to give an overview of the potential risks that drivers face on a day-to-day basis, pulling in key elements from TTC’s individual in-class courses.
This driver safety awareness course is usually delivered over 3 hours and is ideal for up to 20 delegates. Experienced professional driver trainers facilitate the workshop where drivers will typically cover:
- Eco-safe driving techniques;
- Effective speed management;
- Factors affecting personal performance (drugs, Alcohol, fatigue & distractions).
This driver safety awareness course is suitable for all employees who drive cars, vans, LCV’s (light commercial vehicles) LGV’s (large goods vehicles) or PCV’s (passenger carrying vehicles).
